News
Our news section undergone a complete makeover! The new design features a sleek, modern design that’s easier to navigate. As we post more news you will find important updates, upcoming features, and announcements organized in a way that makes catching up quick and effortless. Plus, with better categorization and filtering options, you can now the news that matters most to you, whether’s a major update or quick tip.
Engine
The Engine page has been completely re-imagined for clarity and ease of. This design focuses on providing you whats most important in a clear and concise format. This streamlined interface helps you install engine versions much easier along with keep tracks of important stats like number of engines and project. In future we hope to extend this with other useful information such as total file usage for all the content managed by the launcher.
Project Management
Managing projects is now and efficient. We cleaned up this section to have a more modern design and human readable information such as last modified and engine versions. We also merged less common actions into a expandable dropdown to visually clean up the information and focus on whats most important.
Samples
Samples not only received the same level of visual polish but also received major usability improvements and backend infrastructure. First, all samples are not git hosted to ensure we can minimize engine file size. We also added new categorization and filtering systems so you can focus on the sample project that matters most to you. Finally all data in this section is now managed by a independent database so updating content is easier the ever.
Git Downloads Are Fully Functional
Downloading repositories directly through the launcher is now fully operational! Whether you’re pulling down new samples or user created project, this feature simplifies getting started with the engine and allows you to only install what you need.
Backend Database
As mentioned prior we have moved all the update/versioning information over to a new backend database. This allows much easier scaling of the launcher to higher numbers of users. It also means we can switch over to a new CDN when the time comes allowing for high speed world wide downloads
